Welcome to Impact Racing.
Impact Racing.org is comprised of Vail Valley locals who have a racing background and a history of racing Xterra triathlons. We have come together in order to affect a positive impact as a result of our racing efforts. We are no strangers to volunteer efforts. From raising money for children to have corrective cleft pallet surgeries to managing home-repair efforts for low-income and elderly families giving back to the community is an on-going motivator in our lives.
Impact Racing's mission is to provide financial support to individuals and/or non-profit organizations in need and to increase awareness of their cause with hope of creating a positive impact on communities through athletic competition.
In our inaugural year, Impact Racing paired with First Descents to provide camp scholarships for young adults with cancer. Through sponsorships, the Impact Racing Team competed in off-road (Xterra) triathlon events, bringing awareness and funding to this worthy local charity.
This year Impact Racing with be raising money for two charities.
Our Local charity:
Small Champions (www.smallchampions.org), is a grass roots charitable foundation providing programs for young children with such diverse disabilities as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, blindness and autism. Designed for children from Eagle County, Small Champions strives to introduce a wide variety of sports to each of its participants. Programs include skiing and snowboarding, swimming, horseback riding, rock climbing and golf.
Our National/International Charity:
The Remote Area Medical® (RAM) Volunteer Corps (www.ramusa.org) is a non-profit, volunteer, airborne relief corps dedicated to serving mankind by providing free health care, dental care, eye care, veterinary services, and technical and educational assistance to people in remote areas of the United States and the world.
Founded in 1985, Remote Area Medical® is a publicly supported all-volunteer charitable organization. Volunteer doctors, nurses, pilots, veterinarians and support workers participate in expeditions (at their own expense) in some of the world's most remote places. Medical supplies, medicines, facilities and vehicles are donated.
